Come to the Waupaca Library to see the book bags! The authors, all former WBF presenters, had fun making one-of-a-kind bags. The results are so creative. Check our EVENTS page for more details.
WBF will be at Fall-o-rama in Waupaca on September 20, 2014. Come for great crafts, games, and food. Stop by the Waupaca BookFest tent to say hi, grab a bookmark, and get the latest updates on authors.
We are in negotiations with authors for WBF 2015; watch this site for updates.
Several authors from the 2010 and 2012 WBFs have agreed to create one-of-a-kind book bags for us! We will raffle them off at a dollar a chance, or six for five dollars. Come to the Waupaca Library late in the summer to see them up close. Each bag will contain a signed copy of the author’s latest book.
June 30, 2014 – If you’re in the neighborhood this holiday weekend, come cheer the Waupaca BookFest team at Waupaca’s annual July 4th parade on Main Street. The festivities start at 10 am on Friday, July 4th, but come early so you can grab a good viewing spot.
The next Waupaca BookFest will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Waupaca Area Public Library, right on Main Street by the gazebo.
Lead-up events include an Edible Books contest, writers’ workshops, raffles, a poetry night, classroom visits by the authors, and a dessert reception to welcome the authors. With the exception of the authors’ reception and the advanced writers’ workshop, all events are free; with the exception of the classroom visits, all events are open to the public.
We work in tandem with the Waupaca Area Public Library and the Library Foundation Board.
